Specifications for the ‘Production of compound feed with feed materials of plant origin’

At the request of the supermarkets, BFA has established the Specifications for the ‘Production of compound feed with feed materials of plant origin’. The purpose is to describe the working method to be followed in the production and supply of ‘vegetable’ compound feed. In other words, the conditions to be met on the production of ‘vegetable’ compound feed.

The analyses that have to be conducted in the context of the Specifications for the ‘Production of compound feed with feed materials of plant origin’, are incorporated in the BFA monitoring plan. As for the BFA sector based monitoring plan, 1 audit is performed yearly by a certification institute (OCI) which has been approved by OVOCOM vzw in the context of the FCA certification for the ‘compound-feed production’ scope and which has signed an agreement with BFA for the execution of these Specifications. More details about the audits, can be found in the Specifications version 3.2.

The certificates are valid for 1 year. See below for the list of certified vegetable compound feed producers and the list of BFA-authorised OCIs and auditors.
